Rao Raankaaji Rathore who was Son of Rao Jopsaji Rathore and Grandson of Rao Aasthanji Rathore of Kher (Marwar) migrated from Rajasthan to Raikagarh near Jammu and established a kingdom after defeating local kings, After 200 years, around 1415, three brothers Rao Pratap Shah, Rao bhairvanand and Rao Dundee Shah migrated to Ramnagar in Uttar Pradesh and established his estate in Ramnagar.

Sadan Singh (one of the descent of Rao baldeo of Ramnagar) migrated from Ramnagar to Rewa in 1633 with his brother Madan Singh and 10 other Sardars and participate in the battle of Manajisuva. In this battle Thakur Madan and 10 other Sardars get martyred so Thakur Sadan got the thikana of Nadan in Murwar by Maharaja of Rewa. Thakur Ram Singh who was son of Thakur Sadan got martyred in battle of Ghatvelwa so his son get the Nadantola village in Murwar.

Rathore (Raikwar) Rajput's of Nadan has ruled over 3 forts: Kharamseda Fort (circa1635/-), this fort was destroyed with an attack, 2ndly Aundha Fort (Amarpatan) from 1690-1817, this fort was confiscated from him in 1817 (when Babu Balbhadra Singh obtained the estate of Amarpatan), 3rdly Kharwahi Fort (1633/-) and the descendants of this house are Nadan, Sua and Kumhari.

Around 1910 the thikana of Nadan was confiscated from him by Maharaja Venkat Raman Singh Judev Bahadur of Rewah; and gave it to Captain Lal Pratap Singh Parihar of Jhagarpur.
