Bidhupura

Bidhupura is a thikana of Kulhaiya Bhadauria's. Its foundation was laid by Thakur Gujarmal Ju, who was 4^th in generation of Rao Bhav Singh. Bhav Singh was younger son of Raja Jait Singh of Bhadawar state, and Chandrasen was the elder one. Bhav Singh always showed keen interest in assisting his father Raja Jait Singh ji in every aspect of states administration. Raja Jait Singh ji always wanted his younger son Bhav Si ngh to be the next king of Bhadawar, but Bhav Singh always against this, infact he was offered the crown on several occasion but it was always refused by him, as his elder brother, Chandrasen had first right to sit on thrown, Bhav Singh felt that it would be unjust to take away the thrown from him as it is his prime right, he always showed high regards for his brother. Thus, Bhav Singh pledged to safeguard Bhadawar in any situation and took the sole responsibility of protecting and maintaining peace in Bhadawar. Raja Jait Singh was convinced at hearing this from his son. He made him the ‘Rao’ and his elder son Chandra Sen the ‘Raja’. Bhav Singh was the first Rao after Raja Rajju Raut or Rajju Rav. Rao Bhav Singh hated Delhi Sutanate. According to Tarik-i-Mubarak Shahi, Farishta a Persian scholar has written that "Bhadawar, Gwalior and Dhlolpur were independent states in the reign of Raja Jait Singh". Once Hatkant fort was attacked by Badhshah of Delhi, in absence of Rao Bhav Singh. At that time Rao Bhav Singh was in Mewar with Maharana who were his in-laws. Rao Bhav Singh was not happy with his brother Raja Chandrasen that is why he left Hatkant. Maharana gave the parganas of Hamirgarh to Rao Bhav Singh. Encirclement of the Hatkant fort went on for years, at last Raja Chandrasen faced a crushing defeat as a result, he lost his capital. Bhadawar was handed over to Jat rulers of Bharatpur by Badhshah, afterwards Raja Chandrasen with the help of Maharana, Rao Bhav Singh and his nephew Kunwar Narayan Mal retained their possession at Bhadawar. The possession of Bhadawar was restablished by the courage and bravery of Rao Bhav Singh and after this war Bhadawar was divided in five parts. Three parts were with Raja Chandrasen while other two were with Rao Bhav Singh including fort of Pinahat and Jagir of Bateshwar where he built a fort. Raja Chandrasen stayed in Hatkant. Bhadawar was independent again. Rao Bhav Singh was friend to a Badhshah (name unknown) of neighboring kingdom. He was his well-wisher, both of them shared a friendly relation. Once Husain Khan Pathan of Kalpi who was a noble of Badhshah turned into a rebel and captured nearby areas, not only this he also invaded Kachwaha kingdom of Lahar and also asked the Kachwaha king for their daughter. Lahar was relatives of Bhadawar thus, Raja of Lahar appealed to Jait Singh for aid, keeping both the relations in mind, Jait Singh sent his son Rao Bhav Singh with 5,000 horsemen. After three days of diplomatic conference at Gopalpura, Bhadauria soldiers thoroughly annihilated the Muslims. In the face-off, Rao Bhav Singh attacked Husain Khan Pathan with his poisonous spear, without wasting any time Rao Bhav Singh chopped Pathan's head off. After killing Husain Khan Pathan, Bhav Singh seized the crown or Kulha along with Kalgi of Husain Khan Pathan. Thus, Rao Bhav Singh's descendants are known as Kulhaiya Bhadaurias. Kulhaiya Bhadauria’s are respected widely in Bhadawar, they have fought a lot of battles and are popular for doing difficult tasks for state. Thakurs of Bidhupura were among the main Sardaars of Bhadawar state which always enhanced the importance of Bidhupura, their zamindari was spread in a large area.
