Rawat MAYURDHVAJA SINGHJI, Rao of Piploda, crowned at the age of 13, the young Maharaja studies at the Daly College Indore. He is a car enthusiast and an ardent animal lover. He spends a lot his time at Piploda in Kesar Vilas Palace performing his duties and enjoys the country life. His official residence is Piploda Kothi, Indore which he shares with his mother and two elder sisters.
History
Founded in 1547 by Rawat Sawalsinghji, a younger son of the Rawat of Mandawal. The Dodiya Rajputs of Piploda also use the surname "Girnar" because their Kuldevi mata temple is situated atop the Girnar mountain.
The origin of the estate is that once, on a pilgrimage to Gujarat, the mother of Maharana Lakha of Mewar and her party were attacked by dacoits, and Rao Siha Dodiya came to the aid of the party, he was killed in the skirmish, but two of his sons, Kalu and Dhawal, took the royal travelers to safety in the Dodiya residence, then later escorted them back to the Mewar border. Maharana Lakha later invited the two sons to Mewar, and granted them the jagir of Lawa. The elder son further moved and established the present estate of "Piploda" in Madhya pradesh.
