Sansari

The ancestors of this family originally lived in Gujarat, and were descended from Raja TRIBHUVANPAL, the last Solanki King of Gujarat (1241/1244), but at the end of the 15^th century, they were forced from their lands and under Raja Deepa Singh Solanki, they settled near Bhinai in the Ajmer district. Later Thakur Bhoj Singh migrated and settled in Lach village in Sirohi district, but was killed by the Rao of Sirohi in the last of 17 battles, who took control of that village. Soon afterwards, the Solankis lost control of their territories in Rajasthan and settled at Kumbalgarh during the reign of Maharana Raimal of Mewar (1473/1509), who granted them the pargana of Desuri (Roopnagar), as well as 363 villages of Godwar and Mewar, for ridding that district of some troublesome Madrecha Chauhan rajputs who refused to obey the Maharana. Thakur Sanwant Singh divided his territory amongst his sons, with Thakur Khet Singh receiving Siryari as his appanage. He was succeeded by his son, Thakur Khet Singh, and the latter by his son, Thakur Sanga Singh. Thakur Khet Singh along with his son Thakur Sanga Singh died in the battle with combined forces of Mughal and Jodhpur State near Desuri.
