History
A first class sona nivesh thikana and the Patwi thikana (elder house) of the thikanas of Gothda, Bandwa, Load, Mangrola,Chandoriya, Kumari etc. These thikanas belonged to the descendants of Maharaj Rao Shri Bhotap Singh Rathore, founder of Naraina Estate, grandson of Rao Maldev ji of Jodhpur and younger brother of Maharaj Kishan Singh of Kishangarh, head of the Krishnawat clan and they are known as Bhopatsihot Rathores. Bawjiraj Raje Shree Thakur Harnath Singh Rathore was granted the thikana of Gondishankar in 1730. Sitamau Maharaj later conferred the title of ‘sona-nivesh’ jagirdar. Rawle Bhuwan Singh's younger son got the pehla rawla jagir in 1917. Gondishankar had 1st place and 1st seat in 39 Thakur of Sitamau state and Dewas Junior Darbar Hall.
The thikana of Gondishankar(Gundi) is located in the present day Malwa area in Ratlam District of Madhya Pradesh and was founded by Bawjiraj Shree Raje shree Thakur Harnath Singh ji, great-grandson of Maharaja Bhopat Singh, founder of Naraina Estate and a descendant of Rao Maldev ji of Marwar.

- Deewan Saheb Shree Kushal Singh, 1st Thakur of Khejdiya, born on , leaving Jahanjhpur Pargana, came to Malwa in 1663 to establish his new Rajya. In 1670 Kushal Singh established his new kingdom Kusalgarh (also know as Korgarh). Kushalgarh was overthrown by Aurangzeb, after which Kushal Singh along with his entire army helped Keshodas to establish Sitamau State. After the establishment of Sitamau State, Raja Keshodas Ji was granted the Jagir of Khejdiya with 10 villages. Since then, they were known as the Thakurs of Khejadiya (the Patwi house of the all Bhoptot Rathores). The Thakur of Khejdiya, a Dohri Tazim Jagirdar, was Deewan of Sitamau State. - Bawjiraj Sona-nivesh Nagarband Kamdjiya Bawji Rawle Raje Shree Thakur Saheb HARNATH SINGH JI, 1st thakur Saheb of Patwi sona-nivesh thikana of Gondishankar, He left Korgarh (Kushalgarh) in 1694 with his two younger brothers Surat Singh and Jagat Singh. He first captured Mandvi, there he ruled for some years, after that he captured Gondishankar, killed the Chida (Panwar) Rajput of that palace. Harnath Singh had given Ringnod pargana to the Maharaja of Dewas by victory from Holkar, for this bravery. Dewas Maharajs granted the jagir of Gondishankar to Harnath Singh Ji in 1730 and made his first class Jagirdar. Although he had already taken Gondishankar in his possession.
