History
Mudgudi was founded by Rathpal Singh who along with his elder brothers were Generals under Shri Thakur Saheb Ranmat Singh Ji of Baderi and came to conquer Baderi from Lodhi (Malgujars) dynasty. Rathpal Singh belonged to the Baghela clan of Rajputs from Rewah Riyasat. He defeated and vanquished the Lodhis. As his patrimony, Ranmat Singh Ji granted zamindari of Mudgudi village to his victorious brother Kunwar Rathpal Singh Baghel. He also got the title Thakur by his elder brother.
