History
The Thakur's of Noon are the descendants of Rao Ranmal (Rao of Mandore 1427). The Bagri family is the head of the Jaitawat clan of the Rathores. The Thakur of Bagri were given the honour of placing the Raj-Tilak at the coronation ceremony of the Maharaja's of Jodhpur as Akhai Raj ji, the eldest brother of Rao Jodha (founder of Jodhpur) renounced his rights by primogeniture to the throne of Marwar in favour of his younger brother after the latter had regained the territories of Marwar following a long struggle. Akhai Raj ji applied the tilak on his younger brother Rao Jodha's forehead with his blood and gifted him his own sword, Rao Akhairaj ji then conquered Sojat and his son Rao Panchayan Ji conquered Bagri and established his rule and his heirs were accorded the honour of applying the tilak on the ruler at each investiture. Thikana Noon was granted to Mukundas Rathore and is among the 8 thikanas granted to Rao Jaita Rathore namely Bagri, Rairobado, Khokharo, Baali, Noon, Thanwalo, Doondho and Samdani .
