History
The family of Bidwal is descended from Maharaj Udai Singhji of Jodhpur. Maharaja Udai Singhji's 4th son Maharaja Dalpat Singhji was given the Balaheda Paragna in Marwar. His eldest son Maheshdasji suceeded him and his 3rd son Maharaj Fateh Singhji was the first Thakur of Bidwal therefore Bidwal is the head-house of Fatehsingh clan. Thikana of Bidwal enjoyed Civil & Criminal powers and had its own Police & Jail. It enjoyed full revenue powers. It had its own Murtab.
