History
Rulers of Rajpura are descendants of Rajkumar Bhimraj, second son of Rao Jetsiji of Bikaner. The Chief is Umrao Noble of Bikaner State and enjoys Dohri Tazim and Kurab Hath in Bikaner Darbar, the estate was granted to Thakur Saheb Himmat Singhji son of Thakur Saheb Zorawar Singhji of Bhomsar by Maharaja Gaj Singhji of Bikaner and consisted of 12 villages. Rajkumar Bhimraj was initially conferred with Thikana of Bhomsar in 1545 AD by his elder brother Rao Kalyanmal of Bikaner, for his contribution in reconquering Bikaner from Rao Kumpa the famous General of Rao Maldeo of Jodhpur and received the title of ‘Gai Bhom Raja Bahdo’ i.e. Reconquerer of Lost Lands. During the Gujarat campaign many Rajput Sardars from Bikaner died gallantly, among the martyrs was Rao Naurang son of Maharaj Bhimraj of Bhomsar, hence the descendants were granted the sub clan of Bhimrajot, Bika by Raja Rai Singhji of Bikaner who led the Imperial forces.
